According to Sky Sports, Tottenham are unlikely to sign Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan. However, their sources also reveal that talks are underway with Swansea for Welsh centre-back Joe Rodon, with an £18 million deal close to being agreed.
Manchester United confirm Alex Telles
Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Alex Telles from Porto on their official site. The Telegraph‘s James Ducker revealed on their live blog (6:19pm) that the fee is an initial £13.6 million with a further £1.8 million in add-ons. Ducker also states that the contract length is four years, with the option of a further 12 months.
Diego Laxalt flies in for Celtic medical
According to The Guardian‘s live blog (17:50), AC Milan’s Diego Laxalt is having a medical at Celtic. The Uruguayan can play at left-back or in attacking midfield, and represents a real coup for Neil Lennon.
Southampton terminate Guido Carrillo’s contract
Once again on The Guardian‘s live blog (17:47), it is revealed that Southampton have terminated the contract of Guido Carrillo. The Argentine signed from Monaco for £19 million in January 2018, but has failed to score for them in his ten appearances.
Everton want Robin Olsen
According to The Mirror‘s transfer blog (17:49), Everton are in advanced talks with Roma over the signing of Robin Olsen. The Sweden international would arrive on loan, after the Toffees were frustrated in their pursuits of Paulo Gazzaniga and Sergio Romero.
Newcastle sign Rodrigo Vilca
As revealed on Newcastle’s official site, the Magpies have completed the signing of Peruvian playmaker Rodrigo Vilca from Deportivo Municipal. The 21-year-old has signed a four-year contract and will initially team up with the Under-23 side.
