Arsenal may now miss out on signing Gremio playmaker Bitello with interest in his signature mounting around the world.

Gremio ace Bitello may now leave Brazil with Arsenal potentially set to miss out on the attacking midfielder.

That is according to 90Min, who claim that Bitello is emerging as a target for clubs in four countries.

Teams in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey and Russia are all understood to have shown an interest in signing Bitello.

No clubs have been named but their transfer windows are still open and that could see Bitello on the move.

Saudi Arabia only have until this Thursday to get deals done but the other windows are open a little longer.

Russia is open until September 14th, Turkey’s runs until September 15th and Qatar even longer with their deadline coming on September 18th, giving Bitello a potential move.

Arsenal interest in Bitello

This comes after Arsenal were heavily linked with a deal to bring Bitello to London this summer.

90Min suggested in July that Arsenal were in talks to land Bitello and reported later in the month that the Gunners were confident of a deal.

Tuttomercatoweb suggested that a £7million deal was close to being done in July with Edu seemingly a big fan of his fellow Brazilian.

For whatever reason, no deal was done and Bitello remains a Gremio player.

90Min’s latest report highlights that Arsenal are keeping tabs on Bitello for a potential future move but they could miss out.

Feyenoord and Monaco had a look but Bitello may be primed for a money-spinning move elsewhere.

Who is Bitello?

Bitello started his career in the ranks of FC Cascavel, a club founded by Juliano Belletti, the former Barcelona and Chelsea defender.

Gremio managed to lure Bitello away in 2018 and he has now become a vital first-team player.

The diminutive attacking midfielder has bagged 17 goals and eight assists in 92 games for Gremio but hasn’t had tons of hype around him.

Edu may believe that Bitello can make a real impact for Arsenal, but he will have to hope that other clubs don’t sign him now.
