Some Celtic fans on Twitter are fine with selling Ryan Christie amid reported interest from Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

According to 90min, Arsenal are interested in signing Christie from Celtic in the January transfer window.

Newcastle United, Leicester City and Southampton are among the clubs also claimed to be interested in the 25-year-old midfielder.

The report has added that the Scotland international would consider a move away from Celtic if the Scottish Premiership giants are willing to sell him.

Christie has been on the books of Celtic since 2015 and has been an important player for the team in recent years.

Described as “a hugely talented” player by then Celtic manager Ronny Deila on the club’s official website in September 2015, the Scotland international midfielder’s performance against Rangers in the Old Firm derby did not impress some fans, who are open to the idea of him leaving.

Meanwhile, reported Arsenal target Joan Jordan has said that he is focused on Sevilla at the moment.

The Sun reported in December 2020 that the Gunners wanted to sign the 26-year-old Spanish midfielder in the summer transfer window.

Jordan told Estadio Deportivo: “In the end, these are just things that come out, like the many things that were said, the rumours, when I was at Eibar.

“I have always been very clear about the present; the future does not feed me; it takes away from me and does not give me the energy I need.”
