According to Bild, RB Leipzig ace Marcel Sabitzer is interested in a move to Tottenham Hotspur should Jose Mourinho come calling.
It’s claimed that Mourinho is interested in luring Sabitzer to North London as he looks to bolster his midfield options even further in 2021.
He already has Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Dele Alli at his disposal, but seemingly wants to add Sabitzer.
Bild note that Sabitzer is interested in joining Spurs, and Leipzig are struggling to improve his contract – which is currently at €6million (£5.5million) a year.
That works out to around £105,000-a-week, and Leipzig currently can’t improve the Austrian’s terms with him already being the top earner at the club, especially as Spurs would be willing to offer a huge £140,000-a-week deal.
With just 18 months left on his contract, Sabitzer may now be eyeing a move away from Leipzig, and heading to the Premier League with Spurs could be appealing.

Sabitzer is versatile, a hard worker, technically very strong and a threat to score from long range, whilst at 26 he fits the kind of age profile Mourinho is seeking.
Leipzig will likely still demand a big fee for Sabitzer, but with his contract running down and the Bundesliga side unable to improve it, Spurs may have real hope of a deal.
