Rangers need to add another striker after Umar Sadiq returned to AS Roma.

Steven Gerrard desperately needs to bring in cover for top scorer Alfredo Morelos at Rangers after Umar Sadiq returned to AS Roma following a dismal loan spell at Ibrox – and a £750,000 clause should kick the Gers boss into action.
Sky Sports have claimed that English Championship side Preston North End have activated the six-figure clause in Exeter City striker Jayden Stockley’s contract, after an excellent start to the season.
The powerful 25-year-old has found the back of the net 14 times in just 23 League Two outings this season, but his contribution to play has been just as crucial for the fourth-tier side.
Standing at 6ft 2in, Stockley is more than adept in the air and his physical frame allows him to get the better of centre-backs. But his goal tally also shows that he is more than capable of finishing when given a chance.
For such a bargain figure, Rangers would be landing a player that can provide Steven Gerrard with a different alternative up front. Morelos is excellent at running at defenders and putting opponents on the back foot.
But the Colombian is hardly a target man. Kyle Lafferty is more of that calibre, but Stockley would give Gerrard’s side a plan B when it comes to searching for a goal late on.

It would allow Rangers to go more direct if they are chasing the game. Bringing him off the bench would be a horrible sight for opposing defenders when looking to shut the Gers out.
His goal tally and bargain price tag should make him a target for Gerrard and the Gers, as the January transfer window kicks into action. Stockley looks set to leave, with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
