Everton and Leicester City have been handed a golden chance to sign Nicolas Nkoulou, with Calciomercato claiming that the defender will not sign a new contract with Torino.

The Toffees have conceded 10 times in their last four matches, with almost half of those coming in Wednesday’s FA Cup classic against a Heung-Min Son-inspired Tottenham Hotspur.
Michael Keane and Ben Godfrey have impressed at the heart of Ancelotti’s backline but concerns remain about Yerry Mina, the former Barcelona giant who seems to flit rapidly from awesome to awful in the blink of an eye.
If the opportunity arises, Everton will surely be tempted by the prospect of adding a highly-experienced, natural-born leader to their squad – for free, no less.
75-time Cameroon international Nkoulou was linked with Everton, West Ham United and Wolves in 2020, via Torino Granata.
Tuttosport, meanwhile, reported that Leicester were also in the mix for his signature.
Nkoulou’s £25,000-a-week contract due to expire in July. And, with no new deal on the horizon, the former Marseille, Monaco and Lyon stopper is unlikely to be short of offers when he becomes a free agent.
Nkoulou has been linked with a return to France with Rennes. But, according to Calciomercato, the 30-year-old wants a new adventure and has no desire to play in Ligue 1 again any time soon.
