Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to reveal their concerns over Bukayo Saka’s workload, despite his Man of the Match performance for England against the Republic of Ireland.

The Gunners academy graduate was handed the Man of the Match award after a fantastic display, in which he recorded three key passes from left-back.

No player on the pitch registered more, according to WhoScored.

While the Arsenal fans have every reason to be delighted with his display, they appear to be worried about the sheer amount of football Saka is playing.

Before playing 90 minutes last night, the 19-year-old had already racked up 876 minutes of football so far this season across 11 appearances for Arsenal.

While he is young and full of energy, there is definitely a danger of the teenager suffering burnout if this type of workload carries on as it is.

It is down to Mikel Arteta and Gareth Southgate to manage Saka properly.

As important as the youngster has become to both managers, there are plenty of other players who can briefly deputise for him across one or two games.
