Tony Cascarino has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur target Jadon Sancho’s time could be up at Manchester United amid his struggles.

Ever since the England international secured a £72 million transfer to Manchester United in 2021 (Goal), life has been difficult for the 23-year-old and he hasn’t lived up to the hype that saw him wow the crowds in Germany.

Former Republic of Ireland striker Cascarino claimed ‘the club will only go so long’ in playing Jadon Sancho because ‘fans will become impatient’ with the winger, as he told talkSPORT.

During his time at Old Trafford, he has only managed to bag 12 goals in 79 games in all competitions.

To try and put that into perspective and context, someone like Harvey Barnes, who was relegated with Leicester City this term, scored 13 in the Premier League alone.

Despite those struggles, Spurs have expressed interest in Sancho, with Cascarino sharing his thoughts on the player.

“The club will only go so long with playing him if they don’t think his performances are at the level that they need,” said Cascarino. “You lose games and fans get impatient.

“Jadon has had a very difficult year. I felt for him at times because you have seen that guy has been suffering. I feel for him.”

Sancho is on his last legs…

Even if he doesn’t move this summer, there is going to be big, big pressure on his shoulders next season because fans won’t take any more average displays.

There are some calling for Sancho to go now, so imagine the reaction if he starts next season poorly.

Perhaps he should look to move this summer because there is enough interest in him, would Spurs fans be happy to take him on board?

New boss Ange Postecoglou has to revamp his squad and the north London club are in need of more quality out wide, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if they continue to fish for Sancho’s talents.
