Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to praise Mateusz Klich following Monday’s 4-1 defeat to Leicester at Elland Road.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side found themselves 2-0 down within 21 minutes after a slow start against the Foxes, but gave a better account of themselves in the second half.
A goal from Stuart Dallas helped mount a constant stream of pressure, with Pablo Hernandez inches away from curling in an equaliser shortly after.
One man who was able to walk away from the heavy defeat with his head held high is Klich.
According to SofaScore, the 30-year-old had a huge 109 touches of the ball against Brendan Rodgers’ men, and also completed 87 passes.

Nine of those passes were long-range efforts, while Klich – who cost £1.5 million – also completed one tackle, one clearance and one cross.
The Leeds No.43 did, however, lose the ball on 16 occasions.
Having said that, it will happen when you’re in the role he was last night, where plenty of long-range passes were made in an attempt to play out of Leicester’s press.

Unfortunately, Klich gave away a late penalty after fouling James Maddison just inside the area, which was awarded after VAR’s intervention.
It seemed to be a challenge born out of frustration.
Let’s see how the Leeds fans on Twitter reacted to his display…
