Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after Martin Keown told the Daily Mail that Harry Kane is starting to remind him of Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp.
The former Gunners centre-back argued his point by saying that the Spurs No.10 is playing in a ‘Bergkampian’ style by dropping deep and racking up the assists.
Keown wrote: ‘What anyone who played with Dennis will say is that his service was outstanding. I’m now watching what Harry Kane is doing for Tottenham and, dare I say it, he is starting to remind me of my old team-mate.’
After his blistering start to the season, Kane is well on course to smash the assist record set by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
The Tottenham talisman already has eight Premier League assists in just six games, along with five goals of his own.

Last season, De Bruyne amassed 20 assists to equal Henry’s record.
However, if Kane grabs just 13 more set-ups in the remaining 32 Premier League games this season – which seems more than doable – he will etch his name into the record books.
The England international has a long way to go until he reaches Bergkamp’s overall record of 94 Premier League assists – the fifth-most in history.

So far, Kane has 28 Premier League assists, although with the form he’s in, he could reach that tally if he’s consistent over the years.
Let’s see how the Tottenham fans on Twitter reacted to Keown’s comparison…
