Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to call on Roy Hodgson to start Eberechi Eze following Friday’s 2-0 defeat to Wolves.

The £19.5 million summer signing from QPR has made just two Premier League starts this season, along with four appearances from the bench.

Eze was once again among the substitutes for the Eagles’ trip to Molineux yesterday, and it seems like supporters have had enough of seeing the marquee signing miss out.

The 22-year-old cameo against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side provided plenty of encouragement.

In just 25 minutes of action, the England Under-21 international completed all 18 of his attempted passes, and embarked on five dribbles with two coming off successfully, according to SofaScore.

Palace’s No.25 also won a freekick, and was victorious in three of the six ground duels he got involved in.

Eze injected a bit of life into the Eagles after coming on, and in our view, it’s bizarre that he doesn’t start given the significant fee spent on him.

His style of play, in which he drives forward and takes people on, is something that’s badly needed in this Palace side.

After watching their side roll over to Wolves, a number of the Selhurst Park faithful seem to have had enough of Hodgson’s use of Eze.

Let’s see what they’ve been saying on Twitter…
