According to 90min, Manchester City are interested in signing RB Salzburg forward Patson Daka, while Arsenal have also been making regular checks on the attacker.

The report states that RB Salzburg, who have previously developed the likes of Sadio Mane and Erling Braut Håland, value the Zambian in excess of £20 million.

Pep Guardiola, who Mikel Arteta worked alongside at the Etihad Stadium, is keen to locate a new forward with Sergio Aguero now 32 years of age.

The Citizens legend also finds himself out of contract in June, and it remains to be seen if his deal will be extended, or if he’ll depart in similar fashion to Vincent Kompany and David Silva.

There are also doubts over whether or not Gabriel Jesus can replace the Argentine, according to the report.

Whoever lands Daka will have a prodigious gem on their hands.

Despite the current campaign still being in its infancy, the 22-year-old has netted 12 goals in just 11 games for the Austrian giants, while also providing five assists.

Furthermore, 90min’s sources reveal that over 20 clubs are currently keeping tabs on the Chingola-born goal-getter.

If Manchester City or Arsenal are going to sign Daka, it sounds like they’ll have serious, serious competition for him.
