Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after watching Michael Cuisance’s display for Marseille against Manchester City in the Champions League.

Goals from Ferran Torres, Ilkay Gundogan and Raheem Sterling meant that the Frenchman couldn’t prevent Andre Villas-Boas’ side from losing to Pep Guardiola, on a night where Leeds supporters saw what they could’ve had.

During the transfer window, Cuisance travelled to Yorkshire for a medical after Leeds agreed an £18 million fee with Bayern Munich for his signature, according to Goal (via The Daily Mail).

However, the Champions League winner failed the medical, and Marcelo Bielsa’s side pulled the plug on the deal.

Cuisance eventually signed for Marseille, where he didn’t have the best of games against Manchester City last night.

The 21-year-old was withdrawn in the 85th minute. In his time on the pitch, Cuisance committed a foul and was dribbled past three times, while also losing possession on 15 occasions according to SofaScore.

He did, however, record four tackles and also drew two freekicks from Guardiola’s men, although overall, it was an underwhelming display.

Cuisance is only on a one-year loan at Marseille, so his future is far from cemented in France.

In our view, Leeds could potentially still be tracking the midfielder, whose medical examination was all that killed his move to Elland Road – Bielsa clearly liked what he saw in him as a footballer.

Let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter thought of his performance…
