Southampton ace Sadio Mane was superb as his side defeated Norwich City 3-0.

Southampton winger Sadio Mane showed exactly why he’s a target for top clubs as he produced a stunning display during his side’s crushing 3-0 win over Norwich City.

According to a recent report in Sky Sports, Manchester United submitted a bid for the 23-year-old as they see him as an ideal alternative to Pedro after missing out on the Spaniard to Chelsea.

Mane has blistering pace out wide and his directness helps his cause in-front of goal, where last season he notched a remarkable hat-trick against Aston Villa in the space of under three minutes.

While quite not reaching such heights on Sunday, Norwich City simply had no answer for his ability as Mane tormented the Canaries and put them to the sword throughout.

However, what made his performance complete was his will to track back, put in tackles and defend for his team – illustrated by his impressive six ball recoveries and eight defensive duel winners.

Mane netted ten Premier League goals last season, but as shown he is more than just an attacking luxury and is very much the compete winger capable of reaching the very top.

The Saints will do well to keep him at St. Mary’s for the entirety of this season, where yet more impressive displays will undoubtedly see him become the subject of more intense interest.
