Robin Koch has taken to Instagram to announce his return to first-team action for Leeds, ahead of today’s clash with Chelsea.

The 7-cap Germany international posted footage of himself back in training, having been absent for three months following knee surgery.

Koch had sustained an injury on his Premier League debut against Liverpool, but was able to play through the pain until the 3-1 defeat to Chelsea on December 5th as the BBC covered.

The 24-year-old lasted just nine minutes at Stamford Bridge, before needing to go under the knife to sort the problem.

However, he’s now back in action, which will surely delight Leeds fans.

In response to Koch’s Instagram post, Pascal Struijk sent two applauding emojis in the direction of the German.

The Dutchman is clearly happy to see the No.5 back fit and raring to go.

Now, Marcelo Bielsa faces a slight conundrum.

Does he stick with Liam Cooper, or will the Argentine drop his captain in order to play Diego Llorente alongside Koch?

After all, Leeds paid £23 million for Llorente, and £13 million for Koch.

You wouldn’t expect the club to shell out £36 million on two defenders, if they weren’t planning on using them together.

It’s certainly a tough decision – we’re just glad it’s not ours to make!
