Liverpool, Wolves, Arsenal, Tottenham, Everton and West Ham all feature in our transfer roundup.
Marko Grujic set for Liverpool stay
The Guardian’s Andy Hunter has confirmed on their Deadline Day live blog (16:38) that Marko Grujic is set to stay with Liverpool for now. The Serbian was keen to return to the Bundesliga and held talks with Werder Bremen manager Florian Kohfeldt, but the club’s board wouldn’t sanction a permanent move. Grujic will ‘most likely’ move in January.
Ruben leaves Wolves (no, not that one)
As Wolves’ official site confirmed, Ruben Vinagre has sealed a loan move to Green giants Olympiacos. They also reveal that there is an option for Olympiacos to buy the left-back. Wolves do not disclose the value of that agreement, although The Express and Star say it is worth £22.5 million and can be activated next summer.
Felipe Anderson has a ‘small chance’ of leaving for Porto
One man whose name has been in the spotlight in the last hour is Felipe Anderson. West Ham’s Brazilian winger has been linked with a loan move to Porto. However, The Guardian‘s Jacob Steinburg has said on their live blog (16:57) there’s only a ‘small’ chance of that happening, and the deal would only make sense if Porto cover his £115,000-a-week wages.
Roma eye Bernard and Sokratis as backup targets
Serie A side Roma are eyeing two Premier League stars, but only as backups for their No.1 targets. RomaPress report that the Italian outfit want Arsenal’s Sokratis if they cannot sign Chris Smalling – the Greek centre-back isn’t in Mikel Arteta’s plans. Elsewhere, Laroma 24 say that Paulo Fonseca’s side want Everton’s Bernard if they can’t sign Stephan El Shaarawy.
Antonio Rudiger set for Chelsea stay
The Daily Mail‘s live blog (17:28) reveals that Antonio Rudiger is now set to stay at Chelsea and fight for his place under Frank Lampard. The Germany international was of interest to Tottenham, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain according to Sky Sports, but it now looks like he’ll stay at Stamford Bridge.
