Sissoko to Everton back on?
The Mirror are reporting that Everton, bankrolled by Farhad Moshiri, are the club most likely to sign Newcastle United’s want-away midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
The France international has been closely linked with Tottenham over the last couple of days, but they and Chelsea have refused to meet the Magpies asking price of between £30 and £35 million according to the report.
The Mirror suggest the Toffees have made another inquiry for the player this afternoon, having earlier insisted they weren’t in the chase, and that the Merseyside outfit are the 27-year-old’s only hope of leaving St James’s Park.
It is likely that Sissoko’s future could be the real up in the air deal ahead of the deadline, and it looks a pretty tough future to predict.
Alonso to Chelsea confirmed
One player Chelsea have managed to get over the line is Fiorentina fullback Marcos Alonso, with the 25-year-old arriving at Stamford Bridge on a five-year-deal.
Blues boss Antonio Conte is reported to be a fan of the Spaniard, who has impressed over the last couple of seasons in Florence.
Alonso has spent time in England before, with both Bolton Wanderers – where he featured alongside Gary Cahill – and Sunderland. He will replace Baba Rahman who is on loan at Schalke.
Philippe Senderos signs for Rangers
Rangers have finally added the defensive experience they have been chasing this summer after announcing the signature of Philippe Senderos on a one-year deal.
The Gers have had the former Aston Villa and Arsenal man training with the club following the expiry of his contract at Villa Park. For some time it looked as if Senderos’ former teammate Joleon Lescott would be the player Mark Warburton would bring in, but after that fell through, it looked as if Senderos was the one to come in and so it has proven to be the case.
Bournemouth reported to have won Wilshere race
Sky Sports are reporting that Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has decided to move to Bournemouth on loan, with the Gunners allowing the England man to leave to get first team football under his belt.
Wilshere was being chased by a number of clubs including London rivals Crystal Palace and Italian duo Roma and AC Milan, but Sky are saying he is travelling down to the South Coast to play under Eddie Howe as the figurehead in his impressive Cherries side.
