Newcastle United have failed in their bid to sign Jose Enrique from Liverpool on transfer deadline day, according to The Times.
It has been reported by the British newspaper that Enrique was unable to agree terms with Newcastle.
According to the report, Newcastle head coach Steve McClaren was keen on bringing the Spanish left-back back to St. James’ Park.
Nadir Ciftci
Sky Sports have reported on their live transfer feed at 5:18pm this evening (Monday, February 1) that Celtic striker Nadir Ciftci has agreed a loan move to Eskisehirspor.
It has been reported that Ciftci will remain at the Turkish Super Liga side until the end of the season.

Rangers have signed Michael O’Halloran from St Johnstone, the Scottish Championship side have announced on their official website.
The winger has put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Glasgow giants.
O’Halloran has revealed his reaction when he first heard of Rangers’ interest and told the club’s official website: “You hear a lot of speculation but I’ve just tried to concentrate on playing football.
“When you hear of the interest though your immediate reaction is that you want to go to the big club and I am just happy the opportunity has final come and the move has happened.”
