AC Milan have reportedly approached Jeremy Doku’s agency in an attempt to sign the attacker, with Liverpool also interested in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Belgian international.
According to CalcioMercato, the Rossoneri have identified player agency Stellar as a potential pipeline for January signings, with Doku one of the names on their client list who could be tempted with a move to Milan in 2023 after the World Cup in Qatar.
The winger is regarded by many as one of the best talents in Ligue 1, so much so that Liverpool are already interested in signing Doku in another report from Calciomercato, with the Reds chasing the 20-year-old for the best part of four years.
With Jeunes Footeux reporting that Stade Rennais value Douk as highly as £66m, Liverpool and Milan will have to break the bank if they’re to lure the youngster away from France in January. However, the Rossoneri could do just that in January following this latest update.

Stefan Pioli is eager to add more quality to his squad in the winter window with Milan in real trouble of losing their Serie A crown to Italian rivals Napoli. However, the RedBird takeover of the club earlier this year could mean a busy January market for the Lombardy giants.
Indeed, Doku is still very much at the start of his footballing career. Yet with Milan already looking at signing the rumoured Liverpool target, there’s every chance that the youngster could be part of a huge January transfer after the World Cup in Qatar.
Liverpool will lose no sleep if Milan sign Doku

Milan are seemingly acting fast on their interest in Doku, with a move potentially in the world after the World Cup. However, for Liverpool, the Reds won’t be too worried about this development given their transfer strategy for 2023.
As we know, central midfield is the key area for Liverpool next year in the market, and whilst Doku would have been a great addition in the long-term for Jurgen Klopp’s side, replacing the likes of James Milner and Jordan Henderson will be more important for the Merseyside giants than signing another attacker.
