Speaking to Oh My Goal, Tottenham right-back Serge Aurier has named three teams he would sign for if he was to return back to France.

The 66-cap Ivory Coast international was of course born in France, and spent a long period of his career plying his trade in Ligue 1, so as you can imagine, there have been questions about whether or not he will go back one day.

The right-back was asked whether or not a return to PSG was on the cards, and he said that he’ll never write off the possibility of returning to Paris.

“I’ll never close the door to PSG, never in my life. Like I said recently, I did an interview with someone a few weeks ago, and they asked me the same question and I said that I had never closed the door to PSG.

“I said that if I returned to France, if not the club that trained me, which is Lens, or for Paris, then I will not be going back to France.”

The interviewer then asked if he’d also consider a return to Toulouse, where he spent

“Toulouse? Yeah why not? Those are clubs that I loved, clubs where I spent a lot of time, so that wouldn’t be a problem.”

This is certainly interesting to hear, especially with Mauricio Pochettino now in charge at PSG.

There’s been no real suggestion that PSG want to bring Aurier back, but there is a manager at the helm who knows what he’s about and he’s clearly open to a move.

The moves to Lens or Toulouse seem to be something Aurier would be open to later on in his career when he’s winding down, so perhaps there’s not too much to read into on those comments.

We may well see Aurier back in France one day.
