Arsenal have revealed that they have signed Dinos Mavropanos up to a new deal, before loaning him out.

The 22-year-old has joined Stuttgart in the Bundesliga until next summer, meaning that he is reunited with Sven Mislintat, the figure who took him to North London in January of 2018.

Mislintat was Arsenal’s head of recruitment but quit the role 18 months ago and is now the German club’s Sporting Director.

Mavropanos, who spent the second half of last season out on loan with Nurnberg, has only started six Premier League games since joining two-and-a-half years ago.

Here’s how the Greek powerhouse – who stands at 6’4 – reacted to the departure on Twitter, and how Arsenal fans responded:

That’s twice Mislintat has signed Mavropanos now and the German – who’s been nicknamed Diamond Eye – is clearly a fan of his ability and it’ll be fascinating to see how he fares in Germany’s top flight, against the likes of Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski next term.
