According to The Sun, Leeds United are set to make a £15million bid to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth.
It’s claimed that Marcelo Bielsa thinks Foyth would really strengthen the Leeds back line this summer as a possible replacement for Ben White.
White is heading back to Brighton and Hove Albion after a superb season on loan at Elland Road. Leeds haven’t totally given up on bringing him back, but still want Foyth anyway.
Foyth is poised to quit Spurs having barely played under Jose Mourinho, and he would seemingly fancy playing under Bielsa.
The 22-year-old was a favourite of Mauricio Pochettino – who himself is heavily inspired by former mentor Bielsa – and has the ability to play out from the back.
Foyth hasn’t played since being hooked at half time against Norwich City in December, and it’s clear that he needs to move in order to play.

Injuries have been a factor since the restart, but even before then, Foyth hadn’t been picked in 2020 by Mourinho.
Spurs would surely be tempted to cash in if £15million is on the table, as it could help fund their own business this summer.
This move does seem to make sense for all parties, with Foyth playing regularly under his inspirational compatriot in Bielsa, Leeds getting a White replacement and Spurs offloading a fringe player for a decent fee.
