Arsenal have been linked to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal could use cash from selling Alexis Sanchez to put towards signing Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Aubameyang is in the doghouse at Borussia Dortmund after being dropped for Sunday’s game due to disciplinary reasons.

Dortmund are running out of patience with the striker who they value at £60 million.

Losing Alexis Sanchez would be a huge blow for the Gunners, but selling him to United could help them.

This is because they could receive Henrikh Mkhitaryan in part exchange, with SkySports reporting the possibility he could be used in a transfer.

Mkhitaryan linked up with Aubameyang at Borussia Dortmund with huge success, and the midfield schemer could rediscover his best form by playing alongside the Gabon striker again.

He has scored 13 goals in 15 Bundesliga games this season, netting 22 in all competitions.

Both Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang were signed for Dortmund by Arsenal’s new head of recruitment Sven Mislintat.

Aubameyang would take the pressure of Alexandre Lacazette and give Arsenal the firepower they need to start climbing the Premier League table.

Selling Sanchez to United is far from ideal, but the Mkhitaryan offer is the best Arsenal are likely to get.

Moving for Aubameyang too would be inspired and finally let Arsenal move on, in the belief they actually have upgraded their attack.
