Two of Richarlison’s brilliant strikes have been nominated for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Goal of the Tournament, as per the official FIFA website.
The Tottenham Hotspur forward enjoyed a cracking World Cup campaign, with three goals to his name at the tournament.
Despite the doubts surrounding whether Richarlison would be able to do the business as a No.9, he silenced all his critics in emphatic fashion.
While Tite’s side were one of the competition’s biggest letdowns, he certainly wasn’t.
Richarlison has two candidates to win 2022 FIFA World Cup Goal of the Tournament
One of the versatile frontman’s nominated goals is his acrobatic strike against Serbia.

With Brazil leading 1-0, Richarlison produced a moment of magic to secure his side victory, and he did it in style.
The second strike that has been nominated is the glorious goal that led to Richarlison making it 3-0 to the Brazilians against South Korea in the Round of 16 clash.
The move started with the £60 million man (Sky Sports) incredibly balancing the ball on his head, after which a sequence of quick one-twos resulted in him finally dispatching the ball in the back of the net.
Ultimately, both goals showcased just how skilful the 25-year-old really is.

While there was no shortage of wonder-strikes scored at the World Cup, there is no ruling out either of Richarlison’s goals as a worthy candidate to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup Goal of the Tournament.
Only time will tell whether the Spurs ace will go on to write his name in the history books, despite his campaign in Qatar eventually coming to an unfortunately early exit.
