The future of Crystal Palace forward Michael Olise looks set to be called into question this summer with multiple top sides keen on the Frenchman.

Having moved to Crystal Palace from Reading, Michael Olise has continued to improve season after season for the South London club and last season, the winger was once again superb.

This has prompted interest from multiple top sides with HITC reporting that Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea are the team who have made the first move and contacted the Eagles.

Olise has a relatively affordable release clause inserted in his contract at the club and this has peaked the interest of multiple top sides.

Olise urged to snub Chelsea interest

Speaking on ESPN FC Extra time, Don Hutchinson was asked whether Olise should move to Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford this summer, but he has urged the winger to reject these proposals.

“Neither,” Hutchinson said. “(I’d say) Newcastle. Newcastle have been linked with him today, right. They might have to sell Almiron for this PSR thing that I can’t understand, but I take Newcastle all day long.”

Chelsea are understood to be debating whether they could do a player swap to facilitate a deal but it is unclear if they would accept such a proposal.

As for Newcastle, HITC understands that Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White is a target but so is Olise.

Newcastle’s need for attacking depth is clear and they will hope to be able to pull off a deal for one of their top targets with Wolves’ Pedro Neto another target.

Newcastle’s other business

Kieran Trippier’s future at St James’ Park is unclear with Bayern Munich interested in the Englishman and the Geordie side willing to let him go, if he agitates for a move.

The Geordie club have set a £20 million asking price for the English defender and Vincent Kompany’s side are keen on the former Tottenham Hotspur defender.

As for Olise, it appears Chelsea are indeed the favourites for the Frenchman’s signature and are hoping to get a deal over the line sooner rather than later.
