Tottenham were linked to Wilmar Barrios through the summer.

The Premier League was not the only league to kick off this weekend, with Argentina’s Primera Liga also restarting.
World Cup star Wilmar Barrios was in action for Boca Juniors and showed the type of performance which had Tottenham Hotspur reportedly interested in his services this summer.
Barrios helped Boca to a 1-0 win over Talleres and was at his all action best in midfield.
The 24-year-old won six tackles, also picking up a yellow card, and making two interceptions, whoscored.com report.
The Sun reported in the summer that Tottenham were considering a move for the midfielder, who Boca valued at £25 million.
Barrios starred at the World Cup and caused controversy against England in the last 16 clash when he escaped with a yellow card for a headbutt on Jordan Henderson.

Boca hung onto Barrios, citing a desire to keep him until January so he could feature in their Copa Libertadores campaign in the latter half of this year.
Spurs did not sign any players in the summer, and a January move for Barrios is possible.
All he needs to do is keep his form up.
