Sheffield Wednesday deals

Sheffield Wednesday have signed Josh Onomah on loan from Tottenham Hotspur on transfer deadline day.

As announced on Wednesday’s official website, the Owls have secured the services of the midfielder on loan until the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

The 21-year-old midfielder – who earns £30,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Wednesday’s Championship rivals Aston Villa.

Wednesday have also announced on their official Twitter page that they have signed 26-year-old central defender Michael Hector on loan from Chelsea.

Celtic loan exit

Dumbarton have announced on their official website that they have signed Jack Aitchison from Celtic.

The 18-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder, has moved to the Scottish League One club on loan until January.

Aston Villa rejection

According to The Scottish Sun, Aston Villa have has a bid for Scott McKenna turned down by Aberdeen.

It has been reported that Villa made an offer of a loan with a future permanent deal worth £7 million for the 21-year-old Scotland international defender, but Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen turned it down.

Nottingham Forest departure

According to Sky Sports, Jamie Ward is close to joining Charlton Athletic from Nottingham Forest.

It has been reported that the 32-year-old – who can operate as a forward or as a winger – will move to the League One club on loan.

Leeds United activity

Leeds United have announced on their official Twitter page that Eunan O’Kane and Vurnon Anita have left the club on loan on transfer deadline day.

While 28-year-old midfielder O’Kane has moved to Luton Town, 29-year-old Anita – who can operate as a full-back or as a defensive midfielder – has joined Eredivisie side Willem II.
