Lucas Leiva is reacting on Twitter to Liverpool’s massive victory on Tuesday night.

Liverpool survived a scare to beat Villarreal 3-2 in Spain to move into the Champions League final on May 28, winning 5-2 on aggregate overall.

In doing so, Jurgen Klopp’s side took another big step toward winning an unprecedented quadruple.

The Reds are one point behind Manchester City in the Premier League with four games to go and are gearing up for an FA Cup final with Chelsea – whom they beat to the League Cup in February – later this month.

Lucas ended his 10-year association with Liverpool in 2017, joining Lazio in a £5 million deal that brought a tear to Klopp’s eye due to his long-standing spell at Anfield.

Here’s how the Brazil international reacted to his former club’s victory on Twitter last night:

Yep, things have certainly changed at Liverpool since the likes of Lucas were knocking around.

What Klopp has achieved on Merseyside is nothing short of astounding but, remember, this season could go very wrong, very quickly.

At the moment, Liverpool have only won the Carabao Cup and a monumental effort is needed to improve on that.

City might remain narrow favourites to win the Premier League and tonight we’ll discover who Klopp’s troops – who have already won a league and Champions League title under the German in 2019 and 2020 – face in the showpiece in Paris later this month.

Pep Guardiola’s side have a 4-3 first-leg advantage over Real Madrid ahead of the second leg in the Spanish capital this evening.

Regardless who progresses, this Liverpool outfit will definitely fancy their chances.
