Celtic need additions in the final third in the January transfer window.

Celtic’s lack of options in the final third have been more than apparent during the course of the first half of the 2018-19 campaign, with injuries certainly taking their toll.
An away trip to RB Leipzig saw the likes of Lewis Morgan, Cristian Gamboa and Kouassi Eboue all start in the 2-0 Europa League loss, with plenty out injured.
Though many have returned, Celtic are still slightly lacking in a bit of punch in the final third with Scott Sinclair a shadow of the player he was in the first season he signed – when he won the Player of the Season award.
The likes of Morgan, Jonny Hayes and Mikey Johnston are good squad players, but none have shown they are capable of becoming a regular in the Celtic side. Daniel Arzani’s anterior cruciate ligament injury has worsened the concerns.
It has to convince Brendan Rodgers to move in the January transfer window. One player that might be on his shortlist is Birmingham City’s Che Adams, who is in the form of his life under Garry Monk.
Monk was Rodgers captain at Swansea City during his time as manager of the Welsh side, and the ex-defender is certainly bringing the best out of 22-year-old Adams. He has scored eight goals in 18 outings from out wide.

The Telegraph report that Stoke City are readying a £5million move for the in-form attacker, who is renowned for his pace and power in the final third – as well as his eye for goal.
But at such a low figure for a player that is becoming a shining light in the Championship in a side that are looking to avoid a relegation dog fight, Celtic seriously have to consider rivalling Gary Rowett’s Stoke.
Landing Adams would give Celtic top-quality cover out wide and a player with the potential to progress under Rodgers – but only if his former skipper Monk will accept an offer.
