Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reacted to Arsenal pulling out of the European Super League.

Arsenal officially announced late last night that they had reversed their decision to leave UEFA as part of a 12-team breakaway from the continent’s leading governing body.

It was a hugely controversial venture and one that even Boris Johnson and Prince William publicly denounced.

But prior to their game against Brighton, there were reports that Chelsea had done a u-turn and from there, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool all eventually announced that they were pulling out of the Florentino Perez-led project.

It was a good night for football and one that reminded its supporters that they do actually have quite a lot of influence.

Here’s how Aubameyang, a £56 million signing by Arsenal in 2018, reacted on Instagram to the Gunners’ exit:

There is now colossal pressure on Arsenal at board room level to reform, with owner Stan Kroenke bearing the brunt of the vitriol.

On Friday, there will be a protest against the American businessman outside the Emirates Stadium.
