Some Celtic fans on Twitter are saying that Brendan Rodgers was wrong to sell Erik Sviatchenko.
The Denmark international was sold back to Midtjylland in the winter of 2018 by the former Hoops manager.
Sviatchenko was struggling to play ahead of Dedryck Boyata and Kristoffer Ajer at the time, while Jozo Simunovic was also on the books.
But Celtic replaced the 28-year-old with Marvin Compper and Jack Hendry – one of whom left Glasgow after failing to make a single Premiership appearance, and the other was loaned to an Australian club in January after struggling in a big way during his two-year stint with the Bhoys.
Some fans of the Scottish champions are reflecting on his sale on social media, and many feel that the club were wrong to let him go.
It was Ronny Deila who brought Sviatchenko to Parkhead in 2016, and a goal against Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final of that year was one of his most memorable moments in a Celtic shirt.
