LOSC Lille striker Jonathan David has admitted that the Premier League could be a good move for his career amid reports that Everton want to sign the Canadian International.
Speaking to Sky Sports via the Mirror, the 22-year-old attacker revealed that he can picture himself moving to England in the future, with the attacker this season one of the most prolific forwards in Ligue 1 and this calendar year outscoring the likes of Neymar in the division.
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported last week that Everton were interested in signing David, with Frank Lampard keen to add a world-class attacker to the Toffees’ forward line. However, with a price tag of around €60m (£52m), the Merseyside club have quite the transfer fee to match,
However, David’s latest comments could give Everton hope over a potential transfer, with the North American superstar hinting that the Premier League could be a good league for his development should he decide to leave Lille in 2023.

David said when asked about what his next transfer in his career will be: “The next step is always growing, having more ambition, a bigger club I think. Every player wants to play for a massive club in their life. So I think if I had the chance to do it, I’ll go for it for sure.”
The Lille superstar added: “I think they’re two different leagues [the Premier League and La Liga]. But I think I can adapt to both for sure. And I think with the experience that I’ve had here in France, it will help me a lot if I need to adapt to some place else a lot faster.”
Everton signing David is plausible amid latest Premier League comments

Everton signing David currently feels like a story of fiction rather than reality. However, the striker’s latest interview could offer the Toffees a small glimpse of hope that a transfer could actually be made in 2023 depending on how Lampard does this season.
Indeed, the Goodison Park side are flying under the radar this campaign, and if Lampard can get Everton close to a European spot, David could be tempted to take the punt on the Toffees and make the move to the blue side of Merseyside in a club-record deal.
