Jeremy Doku only wants to join Manchester City with Tottenham Hotspur seemingly likely to miss out on the Rennes winger.

Tottenham Hotspur are looking unlikely to sign Jeremy Doku with Manchester City now his preferred destination.

That is according to 90Min, who claim that Doku has now told Rennes that he only wants to join Manchester City.

It’s stated that Doku has already agreed personal terms with City and is looking to complete a move to the Etihad Stadium.

A five-year deal is in place and Rennes are seeking a deal worth around £51million – a price tag which hasn’t scared City off.

Pep Guardiola’s men are ready to push for Doku as they seek a new right winger after losing Riyad Mahrez.

The 21-year-old seemingly believes that this is his big chance to land a top move and only wants to join City.

That means other clubs are facing up to missing out on Doku with Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United left to look elsewhere.

Who can Tottenham Hotspur sign instead of Jeremy Doku?

Spurs are looking to add attacking talent after selling Harry Kane and Doku has been one prime target.

The Independent claimed just last week that Tottenham have joined the race to sign Doku.

The Guardian added late on Sunday that West Ham have submitted a bid to sign Doku, but they look set to miss out.

Tottenham must look elsewhere and it seems that Ange Postecoglou is seeking to add speed to his front line.

Gent striker Gift Orban has been heavily linked of late and would certainly fit the bill if Doku can’t be signed.

Then there is Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson, who allegedly prefers to join Tottenham over Chelsea this summer.

Johnson will cost a similar fee to Doku and counts as a homegrown player, so he will be high on Tottenham’s list.

It’s seemingly time for Tottenham to forget about Doku and move on, with an attacker needed before the window slams shut.
