Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has admitted that he doesn’t want his Blues career to stop amid links to Tottenham Hotspur.
Conor Gallagher seemingly has no plans to leave Chelsea despite rumours surrounding a late move to rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Gallagher captained Chelsea on Wednesday night as they scraped past AFC Wimbledon with a 2-1 victory in the Carabao Cup.
That was a huge moment for Gallagher and he has outlined his commitment to Chelsea.
Gallagher has told Chelsea’s official website that captaining Chelsea means the absolute world to him.
Gallagher has been with Chelsea since the age of eight so captaining the club was a dream come true.
The midfielder added that he doesn’t want to stop there and is hoping for many more proud moments in a Chelsea shirt to come.
“It means the world, a really proud moment,” said Gallagher. “I had a very proud family at home, so I’m glad it was a win and a good performance. I’m just very thankful and proud.”
“Being here from seven or eight years old when I started in the Academy, living 10 minutes down the road, it’s a dream at the moment. But I don’t want to stop, I want to keep improving, keep helping the club. But it was a great moment and hopefully there will be many more,” he added.

Tottenham move for Conor Gallagher seems destined to fail
Those comments don’t really sound like a man angling for a deadline day exit, do they?
Gallagher is being strongly linked with a move away from Chelsea with Tottenham Hotspur understood to be interested.
The Telegraph claim that Tottenham have been encouraged to bid for Gallagher after seeing Chelsea move in for Manchester City winger Cole Palmer.
Palmer is on the verge of a £45million move to Chelsea and Tottenham seemingly think that Gallagher could be available.

The Blues would be open to £50million transfer but whether Gallagher would fancy leaving is another matter.
Gallagher has a real emotional pull to Chelsea, as seen with his reaction to captaining the side on Wednesday night.
Convincing him to leave Stamford Bridge seems difficult, never mind trying to convince him to join one of Chelsea’s rivals.
We can understand why Chelsea would want Gallagher as a homegrown goalscoring midfield options but we just can’t see Gallagher leaving in the next 24 hours.
