CBS Sports claim Brazilian superstar Lucas Paqueta has asked to leave Lyon this summer – amid reports that Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City have held talks to land the playmaker in the last few weeks.
Paqueta, 24, is now a regular with both Lyon and Brazil. In his two years in France, he has had a hand in 34 goals during 77 games – establishing himself as one of the best attacking midfielders in the entire division.
Even Thierry Henry said last season that he is “one of the best” players in Ligue 1. Reports from ESPN Brasil state that the Premier League trio have held talks to land Paqueta, who is believed to have a price tag of £50m on his head.

Now, the three clubs might receive a boost in pursuit of Paqueta. That is because reports claim Paqueta has informed Lyon of his intentions to leave this summer. Whether they are willing to do business is another question.
Paqueta has asked to leave: Arsenal and Tottenham have held talks
For any Premier League club, Paqueta is a wonderful signing. Raheem Sterling is set to join Chelsea and City need to replace him with a younger version of the England international – Paqueta is the perfect signing.
Arsenal do have some brilliant players in the final third. Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus is an exciting front three. But Paqueta would be a brilliant no.10 in a 4-2-3-1 system.
At Spurs, again, superb options in the final third. But Paqueta would instantly add supreme competition to the likes of Son Heung-min and Richarlison out wide. Arguably, Arsenal is his best move, as he would be a guaranteed starter.
