Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after The Telegraph revealed that Paris Saint-Germain are optimistic about signing Dele Alli this month.

It is said that the Ligue 1 champions are hopeful of sealing a loan deal for the England international during the January transfer window.

The Telegraph state that PSG have previously made three bids for the former MK Dons starlet, and are optimistic that a fourth will be successful.

Since their initial three offers, the Parisians have appointed Mauricio Pochettino.

In our view, the Argentine’s arrival could be key to securing Alli’s signature.

Of course, the pair worked together in north London.

It was actually Pochettino who brought the 24-year-old to Spurs, handing MK Dons £5 million for his signature.

Things have gone sour for Alli under Jose Mourinho.

The former Real Madrid boss has handed the attacking midfielder just one Premier League start this season, which came on the opening day against Everton.

In our view, a move to the Parc des Princes, under a manager he knows well, is just what Alli’s career needs at this stage.

He is far too talented to waste away on the bench, so unless something changes under Mourinho, he needs to act for the sake of his career.

Let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have said about PSG’s optimism…
