Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Trevoh Chalobah will leave Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea in the January transfer window.

The Italian journalist has claimed that Trevoh Chalobah wanted to leave Chelsea for Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.

Romano has added that Chalobah also turned down the chance to move to Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2023.

The reporter has claimed that there is still an expectation that the £50,000-a-week Spotrac) 24-year-old, who can operate as a centre-back or as a defensive midfielder, will leave Chelsea in the middle of the season.

Chalobah has been on the books of Chelsea since 2007 and has come through the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners’ youth academy.

The former England Under-21 international has been out on loan at Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town and Lorient in recent years.

Chalobah has made 45 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The Englishman has scored three goals, provided one assist, and given 13 clean sheets in those games.

Trevoh Chalobah would be better off leaving Chelsea

We do not think that Trevoh Chalobah has a future at Chelsea.

The Englishman would be better off leaving the Blues.

Chalobah is a very good player who is only 24 and can still improve and develop in the coming years.

If Chelsea were willing to sell Chalobah in the summer transfer window, then it is very likely that the Blues will be ready to offload him in January 2024.
