Arsenal star Mesut Ozil impressed in a win over QPR.

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil produced an excellent performance as the Gunners recorded an important 2-1 victory away at QPR.
The win kept Arsenal in third place, a vital victory with Manchester United and Liverpool keeping the pressure on in the race for the Champions League places.
Ozil created five goalscoring opportunities in the 2-1 victory, showing his confidence has not been adversely affected by his poor display a week ago against AS Monaco.
He has bounced back well since the defeat, as have Arsenal, with Ozil making 10 key passes in two games since the 3-1 defeat, while the Gunners have won two in two.
| Match | Key Passes | Dribbles | Shots | Final Third Passes | Touches | Passing Accuracy | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mesut Özil | Arsenal vs Everton | 5 | 0 | 2 | 29 | 64 | 91% | 90 |
| Mesut Özil | QPR vs Arsenal | 5 | 5 | 3 | 19 | 83 | 78% | 89 |
| Mesut Özil | Arsenal vs Monaco | 1 | 1 | 0 | 27 | 82 | 85% | 90 |
The German made less final third passes against QPR than in either game, a result of playing away from home, and being less successful with his overall pass accuracy.
The two games show how well Monaco were able to limit Ozil having a telling impact against them, restricting him to having no shots at all, and creating just the one chance, despite having more touches than he did in the win over Everton.
His form since the loss at least encourages that he could still have an effect in the second leg, while a big performance is expected in the FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester United next Monday.
