Alejandro Faurlin put in his best performance of the season for QPR, in the 1-0 win over Leeds.

After suffering three serious knee injuries at QPR, there can’t be a football fan around who begrudges Alejandro Faurlin a little success and good fortune.

He has shown incredible resilience to bounce back to become a first team player for the club, and at the weekend he let his talent do the talking.

Against Leeds United he was outstanding, playing a key role in a 1-0 victory at the weekend for Neil Warnock’s side.

Figures from Opta show that Faurlin’s display was his best of the season so far, recording impressive statistics compared to his previous starts.

Faurlin was impressive throughout, putting in an all round performance befitting his ability as a central mdifielder.

His five key passes was his season’s best, creating three more goalscoring opportunities than in any game this season, including the vital assist for QPR’s winner.

He was active in the final third, making 19 passes, a figure he has topped on only one occasion this campaign.

This did not stop him making a notable defensive contribution, winning the ball back 14 times for his side, and winning nine aerial duels.

QPR hit the reset button recently, firing Chris Ramsey and installing Neil Warnock in his place, and Faurlin continuing this form is going to be key to them climbing back into the play-off picture.
