Pudil’s unavailability is likely to see Tom Lees recalled to the starting XI, while Jordan Thorniley could also play if the Owls revert to a back three at St Andrew’s.
Full-backs Liam Palmer and Matt Penney were themselves dropped to the bench at Loftus Road, but should return in place of Ashley Baker and Morgan Fox respectively.
And Steven Fletcher could also earn a recall after Atdhe Nuhiu and Lucas Joao failed to seize their chances in midweek, in front of a likely midfield four comprising Barry Bannan, Josh Onomah, Joey Pelupessy and Adam Reach.
