Noa Lang is developing quite the reputation for being outspoken, and now the Club Brugge winger says Leeds made three offers to sign him last summer. The Whites even flew into the Netherlands to sign him from Ajax.
However, a move never materialised. The 22-year-old completed a permanent, £5.5million (Mirror) move to Brugge – and starred on loan. He scored 18 goals and laid on 11 assists in his first season, as Brugge won the title.
He joined permanently despite interest from Leeds and has gone on to have a hand in another 24 goals. Brugge won the title again, but Lang has made it clear that he wants to leave Belgian football this summer.

He reflected on a potential move to Leeds last summer. The Netherlands international says Leeds made three offers to sign him, and even travelled to meet Lang. But instead, he joined Brugge on a permanent basis.
“They were concrete, yes,” Lang told HLN. “Leeds made three offers. We even negotiated – they flew to the Netherlands. Believe me: Belgium will miss me when I’m gone. I gave your football colour.”

Leeds could do with a winger. Raphinha could still go to Barcelona, though some reports claim that the Nou Camp giants are unable to afford the Brazil international. He has interest from elsewhere, too.
Jack Harrison is a target for Newcastle and Tottenham. So, Leeds could do with Lang. But is his attitude the right fit for a club that prides itself on a family environment? He might have to be taken down a peg or two, if he does join.
