Tottenham Hotspur won against Swansea City in the Premier League at the weekend.

Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier commented on Tottenham Hotspur’s performance against Swansea City on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday afternoon (broadcast from 12pm, December 3, 2016).

Tottenham returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon with a 5-0 victory over Swansea at White Hart Lane.

Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen scored twice each for Spurs, while Son Heung-min added his name on the scoresheet in first-half injury time.

Former Southampton attacking midfielder Le Tissier offered his opinion on Tottenham’s performance against Swansea.

The former England international stated that Spurs’ performance before they scored their first goal was not too impressive.

“Strange enough, after 28 attempts on goal and five goals scored, for all of that, the first 25 minutes was quite laboured from Spurs,” said Le Tissier on Tottenham Hotspur’s performance against Swansea City on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday afternoon (broadcast from 12pm, 2016).

“It wasn’t like the first half against Chelsea last week when they pressed and pressed and it was high tempo.

“It was a little bit lacklustre until they got that first goal, and that kind of sparked everything into life then, and then everyone was a yard sharper after that.”

Tottenham played well for most of the match and deservedly registered a heavy win against Swansea. In fact, the North London outfit could have added two or three more goals to the tally.

What was also encouraging about Spurs’ performance was that they did not concede a single goal.

Swansea were able to take just one shot which was not on target, something that underlines just how poor the Welsh outfit.
