Spurs to pay £12m Lo Celso fee
According to the Daily Mirror’s live transfer blog (8/8; 14:34), Tottenham will pay an initial £12 million as a loan fee for Giovani Lo Celso as Spurs close in on announcing a deal for the Real Betis midfielder.
That fee could rise by a further £3.5 million over the coming season, while the Mirror adds that Tottenham will have to pay £65 million should they decide to sign the Argentina international on a permanent basis.
Leeds plan Phillips talks
Leeds United have received a deadline day boost, with the Daily Mail reporting on their live transfer feed (8/8; 14:41) that Kalvin Phillips is set to stay at Elland Road and the midfielder now expects to discuss a new contract with the Championship side.
The Mail reports that Tottenham, Burnley and Aston Villa all wanted the £30 million-rated star, but he is now planning to discuss new terms with Victor Orta with his current deal set to expire in 2021.
Besic could leave on loan
According to The Sun’s transfer blog (8/8; 14:37), Everton are trying to offload Mo Besic on loan during the final stages of the transfer window.
Besic could have the chance to stay in the Premier League with Sheffield United interested, while Fulham are keen to bring him to Craven Cottage, according to The Sun.
Wigan want Enobakhare
The Sun’s live transfer blog (8/8; 14:39) also suggests that Wolves are considering loaning Bright Enobakhare out for the coming season with a number of Championship sides interested.
The report notes that Wigan Athletic are one of the sides keen on the youngster.
