Message to Aston Villa regarding linked striker?

BBC Sport have reported that Bournemouth have rejected a bid from Torino for their striker Josh King, who has also been linked with Aston Villa.

The Sun have previously claimed (30 September, page 51) that King is on Villa’s radar, but the Cherries batting away Torino’s bid perhaps shows Bournemouth’s stance on their player.

Whilst deadline day is driving Jim White crazy this Monday, clubs in the Premier League and the EFL can still conclude deals with one another until October 16.

Thomas Frank shares honest thoughts on sought-after Said Benrahma

Thomas Frank has made it clear to West London Sport that he’s hopeful that Said Benrahma does stay with the club this summer, but he will wish him ‘all the best’ if he does move on in a potential boost to interested parties.

That will be of interest to the likes of West Ham, Crystal Palace and Villa, who are all seemingly keen on his services, as reported by West London Sport and the Daily Mail.

Just like King, the same applies for Benrahma in the fact that he doesn’t have to move today, but he can still end up moving to any of the above clubs later on this month.

Everton searching for Pickford competition?

It seems as though Everton and Carlo Ancelotti have had enough of Jordan Pickford’s error-ridden performances and are now pushing for another goalkeeping option during these final hours of the window.

Times journalist Paul Joyce has shared on Twitter that Manchester United’s Sergio Romero could be an option for the Toffees before Monday’s 11 pm deadline.

In truth, a player like Romero is needed because Pickford will end up costing Ancelotti’s high-flying side some serious points if he isn’t challenged in between the sticks.

But it seems the prays of Everton fans are going to be heard because the club are looking to deal with their goalkeeping situation by adding in another option.

Loftus-Cheek undecided about leaving Stamford Bridge

Time is ticking for Ruben Loftus-Cheek. According to the Sun, West Ham head the queue for the Chelsea man’s signature after Southampton dropped out in the race for his services.

The attack-minded midfielder is a player in demand, but BBC Sport claim that he is undecided about leaving his club.

Given that Loftus-Cheek is slowly being pushed out of Frank Lampard’s first-team plans, it seems as though a temporary move away from Chelsea could do him the world of good.

But with the hours ticking down before Jim White yells down everyone’s TV screens that the transfer window has slammed shut, the England man needs to make a decision pretty quickly.
