The defender was highly impressive for Everton in the draw with Manchester City.

Everton defender Ashley Williams was in decent form for his team this weekend as they drew with Manchester City.
The Blues traveled to the Etihad on Saturday afternoon looking to bounce back from some disappointing performances before the international break.
It proved to be an extremely difficult afternoon for them as Pep Guardiola’s side dominated throughout and they had to defend for large periods.
Their defensive performance was of the highest order, though, as they restricted the Premier League leaders to just one goal and left Manchester with a valuable point.

The key to their defensive showing was summer signing Ashley Williams, who put in an impressive display.
He managed 49 touches in total, with all of those proving to be successful for him.
Defensively he was a rock, winning one tackle, four interceptions and four defensive duels.

Aerially he was strong also as he won two aerial duels throughout, as well as posting five ball recoveries.
He was extremely busy when it came to clearing the ball, posting a huge nine effective clearances and four effective headed clearances.
An impressive display from Williams then, who is continuing to look like a smart signing for Everton this summer.
