The Swede has been a rock at the back for Leeds United.

This summer Leeds United made a move for Pontus Jansson from Torino. The Swedish defender arrived on a loan deal, which has since been made permanent.

He has not disappointed.

Jansson has been one of the best players at Leeds this season and was recently included in the Championship team of the season. His form will undoubtedly be irritating to Torino fans, who have seen their side become one of the leakiest in Serie A.

Torino are currently 10th in the division, but have just a plus six goal difference. They have conceded the fifth highest amount of goals in the division this season, 48 in 29 games.

That includes a current run of form, in which they have conceded 12 goals in their past five games – which does not look good for England number one Joe Hart.

Jansson meanwhile has helped Leeds become one of the best defences in England. They have conceded just 36 goals in 38 Championship games with the Swede a major part of that rearguard action.

Torino would love to have such an enviable defensive record themselves.
