Ryan Mason has told talkSPORT about his former Tottenham teammate Harry Kane’s ‘relentless obsession’ in football.

The former Hull City star said: ‘Kane has a relentless obsession with scoring. Harry’s proved he’s one of, if not the best number 9 in the world.’

It’s obvious that Kane is obsessed with scoring – he probably wouldn’t have the sheer amount of goals he has under his belt if he wasn’t.

Mason knows the 48-cap England international better than most, having played alongside him in north London for years while also rising through the youth ranks alongside the Spurs No.10.

Even then, during their days in the development squad, Kane’s record was unbelievable.

In just 13 games for Tottenham’s Under-23 side, the London-born marksman hit nine goals and recorded nine assists – 18 goal involvements in 13 games at any level is fantastic.

It goes without saying, but Kane’s ‘relentless obsession’ is there for all to see in his goal tally.

The 27-year-old has a phenomenal 228 goals in 380 games across his career, and recently netted his 200th goal for Tottenham.

Impressively, his creative abilities have also seen him rack up 56 assists.

Additionally, Kane has scored 32 goals in 48 games for England, with a handful of those earning him a World Cup Golden Boot.

He is at the peak of his powers, and the scary thing is that he isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.
