Everton and Tottenham Hotspur linked Roberto Martinez has suggested to The Times that he may not remain in his post after Euro 2020.
Sky Sports have reported how Tottenham are keen on Martinez, while The Athletic say he is of interest to Everton.
Martinez is currently in charge of the Belgian national side, and is preparing them for this summer’s tournament.
However, he has suggested that his commitment to the job only extends to the end of that tournament.
“I came to Belgium for two years [in 2016] so whenever you ask about future planning, I’m the wrong man, I’m sure I’m going to give you the wrong answer,” he says.
“I’ve got a contract until the World Cup in Qatar but my commitment was always very clear. I had opportunities to leave in the last 18 months but it was the Euros. The commitment to doing the Euros is the only thing I’m sure about.”

An option for either?
Martinez’s comments suggest that the Tottenham and Everton job could appeal to him, if they still haven’t got a new manager in place by the end of the tournament.
However, the appointment of the Spaniard is unlikely to go down particularly well at either club.
Martinez has already taken charge of Everton, but his failure to correct their defensive issues was a constant source of frustration.
Tottenham supporters have also expressed doubts over appointing the 47-year-old, after his previous stints in the Premier League.
Tottenham’s need for a new manager is, perhaps, more urgent than Everton’s.
Spurs have been without a new boss for 48 days now, and surely cannot afford to wait until the end of Euro 2020 to find a new boss anyway.
