Jadon Sancho is in a real mess at Manchester United and may now be wishing that a move to Tottenham Hotspur had materialised.
Tottenham Hotspur may yet have another chance to go for Jadon Sancho with his Manchester United future looking very uncertain.
United lost 3-1 at Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, conceding two late goals to Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus at the Emirates Stadium.
Things turn a strange turn after the final whistle though as Erik ten Hag stated after the game that Sancho had been axed from his squad due to not performing well enough in training.
Sancho wasn’t having any of it and swiftly took to Twitter to offer his response to Ten Hag’s comments.
Sancho told fans not to believe everything they read in the media, suggesting that he had trained well and was being held up as a scapegoat.
It’s hard to imagine that Ten Hag has taken those comments very well and Sancho’s path back to any kind of first-team role at United seems like a long one.

Tottenham Hotspur wanted Jadon Sancho this summer
Sancho may well be on his way out of Manchester United in the near future and he will surely attract plenty of interest.
The 23-year-old hasn’t quite worked out for United but 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 Borussia Dortmund outings will make some managers believe that they can get Sancho back on track.
One club who may have a look at the situation is Tottenham Hotspur, who were interested over the summer.
The Daily Star reported in June that Tottenham were considering making a move to sign Sancho.
The Times added just days later that Tottenham had registered their interest in Sancho ahead of a potential deal, with the Daily Mail suggesting that a £45million fee would be needed.
Tottenham seemed to have an interest and you could hardly blame Sancho for wishing that move had gone through.
The Camberwell-born winger would have been given a return to London and an escape route from Old Trafford.

Ten Hag seemingly doesn’t fancy Sancho and a fresh start elsewhere could have got Sancho back on track ahead of Euro 2024.
Sancho now appears to be out of Ten Hag’s plans for the foreseeable future and nobody would be surprised by a January exit.
Tottenham may well fancy looking at that move again but they did just splash out for another winger in Brennan Johnson.
The Spurs option seems tricky for Sancho now, even with Tottenham seemingly focusing on signing homegrown players of late.
It may take the exit of Ivan Perisic to rekindle Tottenham’s interest, but even then, the ship may well have sailed for Sancho with his future up in the air.
