44-year-old manager ‘highly recommended’ to Daniel Levy at Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has reportedly been told to hire Feyenoord boss Arne Slot as the new manager.

The Telegraph journalist Matt Law has written that Feyenoord manager Slot is an option for Tottenham.

Ryan Mason is in charge of Tottenham until the end of the season.

Levy’s top managerial target to take the job at Spurs for next season and beyond is Julian Nagelsmann.

However, the Tottenham chairman has alternatives.

According to The Telegraph, Slot is one of them.

The 44-year-old Feyenoord boss has reportedly “been highly recommended to Levy”.

Slot has been in charge of Feyenoord since 2021 and guided the Dutch club to the final of the UEFA Europa Conference League last season.

It seems that behind the scenes Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is working hard to get a new permanent manager in.

It is important that Levy has someone lined up to take over once the season finishes or at least by the middle of June.

Until and unless Tottenham know who their new manager will be in the long run, they will not be able to do anything in the summer transfer window.

And the prospective new manager will also need time to work with his players and understand what he needs to do in terms of transfer business.
